The red head tapajos are one of the most stunning and colorful geophagus available! Their signature vibrant red heads are accented by their blue bodies and stripped fins. They’re a peaceful, mid-sized, community fish that fit perfectly in most larger aquariums. Originating from the Rio Tapajos river basin in the Amazon, they’re a great addition to most South American community tanks. While Geophagus Tapajos can be kept in a 55 gallon aquarium, they prefer to live in groups of at least 6 and be housed in at least a 90 gallon aquarium.
Size: Approximately 2 Inches.
